Reshma (2021)

I told my family about my problem, but it turned out to be worse than I expected. My family withdrew from me, they couldn't accept my illness. I was at home, but no one had time to cook a meal, no one had time to take care of me. I was getting weaker and weaker.

I was bitterly disappointed and got a severe depression. I really didn't expect them to leave me. I had shared my salary with them for fourteen years, but when things got bad for me, they left me. I realised that I could not rely on anyone and I started praying fervently for help.

Then came this letter to my father, who had died in 2005. I was curious and opened it. It was the Brotherhood newsletter. My father must have been a donor, but we didn't know that and so we never told them that he had died. Thank God we hadn't because I started reading and realised there was somewhere I could go. I called and spoke to the doctor. I told him all about me and my family problems and I would like to come because I want to be in a place where I feel comfortable.

When I was admitted, I weighed only 37 kg, but I am slowly recovering and gaining strength. The nurses are nice and caring and now I know that God has taken care of me, he has led me to the right place.
